A filter switching system provides the possibility to acquire images in different spectral regions The filter switching system includes:

Control Software
Up to four filters can be installed in the filter wheel of the filter switcher. Maximum filter diameter is 51 mm (2 in), maximum filter thickness is 5 mm (standard filter sets from Oriel --www.oriel.com, Edmund Scientific -- www.edsci.com and other optical-filter manufactures can be used), maximum filter-switching time is ~ 1 s.
System control is accomplished by PC using an RS-485 or RS-232 serial port. Dedicated software (delivered with a source codes) can be easily incorporated into customer's image-acquisition program.
